Debby's Dilemma

It now looks likely either a tropical depression or Tropical Storm Debby will form in the Gulf of Mexico sometime this weekend.
As far as Debby's future path and intensity, the forecast is far from certain.  Interests along the entire U.S. Gulf Coast should monitor closely the progress of this "future Debby."
Regardless of the actual track, there will be effects felt on the fringe of this large circulation throughout the Gulf Coast region, including a threat for rip currents, coastal flooding and locally heavy rain.  Let's break down the possible track scenarios.
